Alabama Scenic River Trail - Alabama’s great new river trail is the longest water trail in any single state of the country.

Year of Outdoor Alabama LogoThe Year of Outdoor Alabama mini-site is a great resource for finding all kinds of outdoor activities throughout the state, from the beaches to the mountains.

Alabama is an outdoor playground, where you can enjoy every adventure imaginable, from hiking, camping, cycling, canoeing and kayaking to horseback riding, fishing, hunting, scaling boulders and rappelling down canyons.

With two-thirds of Alabama covered in forest and rivers, it doesn't take long to find trails to hike and streams to fish.

Relax along the white sandy beaches of Alabama's Gulf Coast, go camping at a state park, take a walk, or enjoy bird watching along designated trails throughout the state.
