WEHLE TRACT HOME BACK TO FACILITIES AND RENTAL FEES
The Robert G. Wehle Nature Center, located on 25 acres of rolling hill country in Bullock County, is designed to enhance the appreciation for conservation and an understanding of man’s relationship with the environment. It features conservation and environmental educational exhibits aimed at both students and adults. A state-of-the-art audiovisual theater focuses on the natural wonders of outdoor Alabama. A conference area/exhibit room is available for conservation meetings and hands-on nature presentations. Near the main building, at the edge of a small wetland, sits a viewing kiosk that gives young naturalists an up-close and personal experience with the inhabitants of Alabama's wetland.
The facility is used and/or provided by the Lands Division to promote environmental education either by its own staff members or educators from other divisions, agencies or institutions. For more information, email the nature center.
