Overview
The 887 acres of the Tannehill Land and Ridges Tract in Jefferson and Bibb counties are spread out across rolling hills and wooded terrain adjacent to Tannehill Ironworks Historical State Park.
Cooperatively managed with the park, the tract hosts a variety of habitats bordering Shades Creek, a primary tributary to the Cahaba River. The purchase of this tract included a charitable donation of the tract’s value on the part of the seller.
The Tannehill Land and Ridges Tract offers many outdoor activities, from bird watching and wildlife viewing to hiking, mountain biking and horseback riding.
